Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of children's memory as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victimization in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded many grants and has received numerous international and national distinctions. She has advised many government agencies and governments around all over the world on policy and research relating to the treatment of children victims of the law by the system. She is also a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, which include that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She was a founder member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was director of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychological Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
